Ancient Ram temple / Jor Bangla Temple of Khalia

Two temples can be found at Khalia village in Rajayob upazila of Madaripur district. The construction of the temple is very similar to the village of Dochala in rural Bengal, it is called Jorbala temple. It is known that a zamindar called Raja Ram built this temple. Because of this, this temple is also known as Ram Mandir. The temple is rectangular and has two floors. On the wall of the temple, the scenes of Ramayana and Mahabharata are pictured. This is a spectacular architecture. This temple was built in the seventeenth century.
